It's not only great fun making cocktail at home, but it's also very practical. You can adjust the amount of each liquid, that means the drinks come much closer to your own taste. I used to drink like a fish when I was young, but my body system doesn't accept hard liquor anymore and I'm getting fussier about the taste of drink ever than before. So, homemade cocktail is just ideal for me. I coated the rim of the glass with the celery salt, which is often used for Caesars too. [ingredients] strawberry puree, pomegranate/blueberry juice, lime juice, vodka I baked a loaf of rye bread today. I like healthy bread like this, but my family really doesn't care for this kind of food. They always like junk food! Babies...... #

Bread making, especially baguette, is my recent boom. I'd been admiring people who bake the bread so well, because I 've fallen down making them in almost every time! Though I'm still not confident of it, it seems my bread gets looking better and better every time. These are rusks. After slicing the baguette thinly, dry them half a day, and dip in the butter&maple syrup mixture, then bake in the oven(120c) for 10 min or so. While they are still warm, coat one side of each rusk with sugar. These rusks are so good. I sometimes bake the baguette only to make them. #

I baked a coffee flavored "roll cake"(or "roulade") 2days ago. I added 2 TBSP of cream liquor in batter, so it tasted and smelled a little bit of alcohol. Yum! But, sorry, not for kids. I don't think roll cakes are well known dessert in Canada, but I often see "jelly roll" at the stores. Jelly roll has the same idea with the roll cake, but a filling is different. They use fruit jam(strawberry jam, marmalade,e.g.) inside, instead of the whipping cream. That's why it's called a "jelly roll". #

I baked the oatmeal cookies the other day.Actually I'm not a big fan of cookies, but I found out this recipe was very special. It had such a deep and well balanced mixed flavor. We ate three dozens of cookies in no time,so that I had to bake them just a few days later. So tasty! Couldn't refuse them! It's your choice to make them chewy or crunchy,it depends on how long you bake them in the oven, of course. This is OKAKI. I had so much stock of OMOCHI in my fridge,I decided to make OKAKI for the first time. Okaki is one of the popular snacks in Japan, you can get them at almost any stores over there.Today you can get them in Canada too, but the taste is not the same. It's so simple to make them if you have OMOCHI.Just cut them into small pieces and let them dry in the room for a few days.Once they get hardened enough,deep-fry them in low temperature oil untill they get to golden brown and crispy. Sprinkle with a dash of salt. #
